Since 1995, Nashville Opera has brought opera to students around Middle Tennessee, introducing young audiences to the art form and filling in an enormous gap in arts education. 80,000 children and family members have experienced the arts through this program – many for the first time. Thanks to support from La Bella Notte and other generous sponsors, the Opera on Tour is presented at no cost to participating schools and public venues. Founded in 2021, Opera on Wheels is Nashville Opera’s mobile stage, bringing concerts into the community. The Spring 2024 tour traveled across Davidson, Williamson, Cheatham, Maury, Montgomery, Robertson and Wilson Counties, visiting senior communities, parks, community centers, and events. Along the way, free concerts were presented to 27,858 audience members.

Friends of Nashville Opera announce Emmy and Tony Award winning actress and singer Kristin Chenoweth as the Honorary Chair of the 2025 La Bella Notte gala, to be held February 8, 2025 at the 1Hotel Nashville. Ms. Chenoweth will also be the recipient of the Nashville Opera Honors BRAVO! Award in recognition of her tireless commitment to youth music education.
