This month, we are so excited to present our September 2024 Vows That Wow and highlight Fabi & Kyle’s beautiful wedding day.

The Couple’s Favorite Memories

Fabi & Kyle’s day was full of unforgettable moments. Bride Fabi Powell Herman is the epitome of strength. We had the opportunity to learn more about her and share a little piece of their story. ⁠After a difficult journey and profound loss, Fabi found her second chance at love with Kyle. Now, Fabi is expecting a baby boy very soon! When asked about their favorite memories of the day, Fabi said, “My favorite wedding day memory was our first look when I surprised Kyle with a live eagle, honoring his favorite animal, my late husband’s sign, and the name we chose for our son. It was such a powerful and symbolic moment that felt like everything aligned. Following that, our gender reveal during the ceremony was another unforgettable highlight, sharing that intimate surprise with everyone we love. I also cherish the quiet dinner Kyle and I had, just the two of us, during cocktail hour—it gave us a moment to breathe and soak in the day together before our choreographed dance, which was the perfect way to kick off the celebration. These moments wove together beautifully to make our wedding deeply personal and meaningful.”

Highlighting Their Vendors

Fabi & Kyle’s vendors were exceptional. Their photographer and videographers stood out in more ways than one. Fabi said, “Our photographer, Kristin Sweeting and videographers, Matt Giesler and Patrick Johnson, were our most helpful vendors throughout the wedding process. They were both part of my first wedding with my late husband, and having them capture this new chapter with Kyle made the experience even more meaningful. Knowing firsthand how short and precious life can be, having them there to document these special moments was incredibly important to us. Their presence felt like a bridge between two significant parts of my life, and they understood the depth of this day on a personal level. Capturing the fleeting, yet unforgettable moments is truly the most important part of the day, as it goes by so fast. We’re so grateful for their talent and how they made these memories last forever.”

Incorporating Their Faith

Faith and family are incredibly important to Fabi & Kyle. They made this an integral part of their day. Fabi shared, “Having our family pray with us during the ceremony and saying a prayer before dinner brought a deep sense of connection, grounding the day in gratitude and love. It was important to us that these moments reflected our values and the support of those closest to us, adding a layer of meaning to the celebration of our marriage.”

Fabi shared a very special take away from her wedding that we think is so important to share with other couples. She said, “One thing I learned while planning my wedding is the importance of making intentional choices that reflect your unique love story. Every detail, from the vows to the décor, should carry meaning and celebrate the bond you share with your partner. It’s easy to get caught up in trends and expectations, but staying true to what truly matters—your connection and the values that define your relationship—creates a day that feels not only beautiful, but deeply personal and unforgettable.”
