Abigaile and Aidan’s wedding was a heartfelt homage to family, heritage, and the town that shaped them. Drawing inspiration from their parents’ weddings in the late ‘90s and early 2000s, the couple wove nostalgia into every moment. “We wanted the guests to understand the nostalgia that our parents would feel as they were seated in the pews thinking of their own weddings almost three decades prior,” Abigaile shared. Bridesmaids wore white just as her mother’s had, the reception took place at her childhood home, and portraits were recreated to mirror those from her parents’ wedding album. A bagpiper played them out of the chapel to honor Aidan’s Scottish heritage, while simple white hydrangeas and magnolia trees, planted later in her parents’ backyard, paid tribute to their Southern roots.
For their 350 guests, the couple set out to create something rare: a wedding that felt both grand and intimate. That goal began with a pre-ceremony cocktail hour at the History and Culture Center in Franklin, complete with food, drinks, and transportation to the chapel. “Making our guests feel taken care of and prioritized through the wedding was of the utmost importance to us,” Abigaile said. Aidan and Abigaile skipped a first look, instead sharing private vows over coffee that morning before parting ways. The ceremony, officiated by her cousin, was filled with sentimental touches, from lace sewn to honor her late grandmother to a reading by Aidan’s great uncle. As they exited, Aidan dipped his bride for a kiss, surrounded by cheering loved ones.

The outdoor reception was a lively affair, brought to life with decor and rentals from Southern Events and a large tent from Curated Events Nashville complete with draping by Quest Events. EastCoast Entertainment booked Blairs West Band, who kept the dance floor full with classic rock, country, and pop favorites. A faux exit featuring a firework show set the stage for an after-party, where the couple changed into boots and beaded party looks, and a DJ took over until the police quite literally shut it down. From start to finish, Abigaile and Aidan’s day was more than a wedding. It was a joyful love letter to family, friends, and Franklin itself.
