Meaning and heritage were woven throughout the day, from wardrobe choices to family heirlooms. “We included meaningful nods to our heritage throughout the details. Paxton wore his grandfather’s ring, I wore his grandma’s pearls and my something blue was my great-grandmother’s ring. Our detail shot pillow was made from my mom’s wedding dress. Paxton’s outfit was inspired by what his grandfather wore on his own wedding day, and our cake topper belonged to my great-great-grandparents. We’re also from Pittsburgh, so we had a Pittsburgh cookie table.”
